How I Spent My Sunday…

As if laundry isn’t enough of a chore…

While all of you were excitedly entering my giveaway, I was babysitting the washing machine through 5 loads of laundry.  The lever that must be pushed down during certain intervals of each cycle has been malfunctioning, so whenever I hear the machine go silent I have to go over and push the lever down a couple times until it engages and starts the spin cycle.  Then I have to hold it because the doohickey on the lid can’t push it down far enough for it to connect.

It wasn’t always like this.  I noticed this happening the last time I did laundry… a couple weeks ago… hence the 5 loads of laundry.  I’d been dreading it, but finally had a day I could devote solely to laundry.  I kind of felt like the women of the old days who had to devote one whole day to washing clothes because it was so labor intensive…

Because holding down a lever with a mini wrench is really intense…

Although, I still somehow managed to clean and vacuum the whole house AND make dinner.

Not too shabby.
