August 5, 2009

This is the coolest sewing tool ever.

I acquired this little gagdet at the estate sale. I had never seen anything like it, so I had to have it.

It’s a pinking machine!

Made by Singer in the 1930’s, it originally came with a special C-clamp to keep it secure on a tabletop and you could order special blades such as a smaller scallop or a straight edge.  The blades can cut through nearly anything and supposedly not become dull because the blade is pressing down and making contact with the metal wheel underneath it.

I found this website about it very interesting.

Yep — Works like a charm!
